Former Social Distortion Bassist Brent Liles was struck by a truck as he rode his bike on the Orange Freeway in California today. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 43.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
Another death has been announced today. Music Producer Disco-D, real name Davis Shayman, committed suicide Tuesday. His body was discovered in his New York home. He was only 27.
Shayman had been diagnosed as being bi-polar and also suffered from depression.
His resume included commercials for Sprite and Best Buy, and he had worked with 50 Cent, Trick Daddy and Nina Sky. Shayman also produced KFed's flop 'Popozao'.
Prior to his death, he was working on music for video games and had a remix for Shiny Toy Guns in the works.
