Drew Barrymore announced on Oprah yesterday that she is donating $1 million to the World Food Programme. "I have seen with my own eyes what a difference a simple cup of nutritious porridge can make in a child's life. It helps them learn, stay healthy and sets them on track for a bright future," Drew said.
The WFP has "a goal to feed another 10 million hungry school children in Africa by Thanksgiving." Drew has worked with the WFP for the last three years and she recently became Ambassador Against Hunger. Drew's donation starts off WFP's "Fill the Cup" campaign that aims to feed 59 million school children in developing countries for a year. The actress with a heart of gold....
