GOSSIP >> Prince William & Kate Middleton's Canadian Plans

What better place to celebrate Canada Day than in Canada, and that’s exactly what Prince William and Kate Middleton will be doing.

The royal couple will be north of the border on July 1st which is Canada’s holiday, and will be on Ottawa’s Parliament Hill for the official holiday kick-ff at 12:07pm.

According to the Ottawa Citizen, a Royal Canadian Mountain Police will escort the couple as they are greeted by Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his family – wife Laureen and their children Ben and Rachel – as well as Canadian Heritage Minister James Moore.

In addition to a 21-gun salute, a CF-18 fighter-jet flyover and renditions of "O Canada" and "God Save the Queen," the hour-long ceremony will include performances by Sam Roberts, Great Big Sea and Maria Aragon, a 10-year-old from Winnipeg who earlier this year performed a duet with Lady Gaga in Toronto.

Prince William is also schedule to say a few words at 1:14 ET, before he and his new wife tour Parliament.
