Elin Lanto is a Swedish singer who has had several hits in her home country, including the number one "I Won't Cry." Lanto first came to prominence after her performance of her song "Money" in Melodifestivalen 2007. She also took part in 瑞典歌唱大賽Melodifestivalen 2010 with "Doctor Doctor".
In 2009 Elin made her US debut by releasing the single "Discotheque" on the American iTunes store, also featuring a new remix by Jonas von de Burg. On March 1 2009, "Discotheque" was featured on Showtime's The L Word.

The Play band members had not seen each other for several years, until one day when Anaïs Lameche managed to get a hold of Fanny Hamlin ("Faye") via phone. The two of them talked over lunch about reuniting Play, and decided that it was time for Play to return. After the launch of Made in Sweden season two, Laila, one of the band's former managers, also wanted to reunite the girls as a band. Fanny, Anais, and Rosie Munter returned for the reunion; Anna Sundstrand did not for unknown reasons. Later, Rosie decided to leave, and the two remaining girls began a search for a third member. After about a week, Sanne Karlsson, who was previously a member of the band Ghost vs Sanne, joined the group after recording a demo song for Play.
瑞典製造Made in Sweden season two showcased the hard work all three girls put into making their new album and promoting Play. Their new album was recorded in four weeks, and since then Play has been performing their new songs live at several locations, such as瑞典連鎖店 Elgiganten stores and television shows in Sweden. Swedish singer/songwriter Ebba Forsberg never saw a proper U.S. release of her music following 1997's wonderful debut Been There, which is a shame considering the high quality of follow ups True Love (2002) and Ebba Forsberg (2006). Now following the 2009 release of Ta Min Wals (Take This Waltz), an album of Leonard Cohen cover songs (in Swedish), we're happy to report that Ms. Forsberg is back writing new songs in English for a forthcoming album. One of our favorites from True Love is "Daybreak", a song that balances Forsberg's despairing, world-weary vocals -- and heartbreaking lyrics -- with a chiming guitar line and gorgeous orchestration. A self-taught musician, Ebba Forsberg brings refreshing depth to haunting musical tales that reflect times of confusion and exploration. Her voice is strong, defiant with a touch of innocence. Collaborating with producer Mats Asplen, whose bodied arrangements complement her classic style, Ebba has created music that boasts a deep soulfulness and a lush, compelling soundscape. "Been There," her 1997 debut, is a melancholy yet uplifting collection of songs composed and sung by Ebba with words written by her sister, Kajsa Ribbing. As a creative team, Ebba expresses herself through writing music and singing, while Kajsa has written lyrics that resonate Ebba's experiences and feelings. The two were raised apart, but grew close after childhood. The artistic strength of this kinship is clearly reflected in the graceful union of melody and lyrics on "Been There." Ebba toured extensively in the late 90's on the Lilith Fair tour as well as with Neil Finn and others. Her live-in-the-studio performance on KCRW is still available in the station's archives online. Her second album, "True Love" (2001), again focused on Ebba's songwriting skills, but added a more "band like" feel to the production. Released only in Europe. Tracks such as "Red," "Addict," "Walk Alone" and "Daybreak" demonstrated a more straight-ahead dynamic to her repertoire honed from her live performances while the heavily-orchestrated ballad "That's How Much I Love You" showed that Ebba still possessed an uncanny ability to write a darkly passionate love song. Ebba has just released her third album, "Ebba Forsberg" scheduled for fall 2006 release in Sweden and later for the rest of the world. More details will be forthcoming as the release is completed. "Kiss of Life"'s title track was featured in the film "Mun Mot Mun" in Sweden, while another new song, "Hey," was included on the soundtrack to "New York Waiting," recently screened at the Tribeca Film Festival. Other new tracks include "Boy You Owe Me," "Deep Denial" and "Words." The myspace audio player will feature these songs in demo and finished versions as well as additional songs in the future.
