After scrapping an unreleased third album they had worked on for 18 months, the Scissor Sisters took a break, with singer Jake Shears heading to Berlin. Getting the inspiration he needed after a couple months on the city's club circuit, Shears returned with the "blissfully sinister" songs that would become Night Work. The band has proudly announced that the album is as "supersexual and sleazy" as its Robert Mapplethorpe cover art.

Now the album’s official single has appeared.

The Scissor Sisters are getting ready to release their much anticipated third studio album "Night Work" on June 28th!! It's been four years since they've released sophomore effort "Ta-Dah" back in 06'. First single "Fire With Fire" produced by Stuart Price will be officially released on June 20th!! ‘Invisible Light‘ is taken from the group’s third album ‘Night Work‘, released on June 28th. We Are the Fallen is a rock band consisting of former American Idol contestant Carly Smithson, Marty O'Brien and former Evanescence members Ben Moody, John LeCompt, and Rocky Gray. The band's name is an allusion to Evanescence's 2003 album, Fallen, which has resulted in criticism for their very similar sound to Evanescence.

We Are The Fallen是由前伊凡塞斯(注：主唱Amy Lee是現階段伊凡塞斯樂隊唯一的創始成員)樂隊吉他手Ben Moody，鼓手Rocky Gary。吉他手John LeCompt組建，主唱則是參加過美國偶像第5和第7季的女歌手Carly Smithson(注：第7季美國偶像選秀的第6名)。

團名We Are The Fallen來源於Evanescence的多白金專輯Fallen，原先決定的團名是The Fallen，但已經有一支樂隊叫這個名字了，只能改成We Are The Fallen。

Tear the World Down is the upcoming debut Album by the rock band We Are the Fallen. It is scheduled for release in the United States on May 11, 2010 and the United Kingdom on May 10, 2010 under the Universal Republic record label. It includes their first single "Bury Me Alive". The song was used in the promo of the season finale of Vampire Diaries Season One.

We Are the Fallen is a rock band consisting of former American Idol contestant Carly Smithson, Marty O’Brien and former Evanescence members Ben Moody, John LeCompt, and Rocky Gray. The band’s name is an allusion to Evanescence’s 2003 album, Fallen, which has resulted in criticism for their very similar sound to Evanescence. In a Los Angeles Times interview, co-founder of Evanescence, Ben Moody, said that We Are the Fallen differs from Evanescence in that "everyone is equal" and that it has "more energy than Evanescence could ever muster." He also stated, "We cannot try to be who we are. If there is some similarity in sound, it’s because that genre was created by us."

We Are the Fallen began forming in 2003 when Moody had discussions with Gray and LeCompt about Evanescence moving in a different direction than originally planned. Moody felt something had to change in order to preserve their style of music and left the band. Years later when Gray and LeCompt also left the band, Moody reached out to them in attempts to continue where they had left off in 2003, recruiting O’Brien in the process. The band held auditions looking for a lead singer in New York City and Moody feared that the search for the band’s "soulmate" was going to take a long time. Moody’s roommate, Monique, introduced him to Smithson who was developing a solo album after the tour with American Idol. Moody and Smithson talked "in Monique’s room until about 4:30 in the morning" discussing what they wanted to do musically and they discovered their needs were "identical". Smithson felt that Idol was for a family audience which wasn’t "creatively and musically the best" for her at that time. She also stated that trying to make a solo album was lonely and "now there’s four other people who bring all sorts of different things to the table and musically it’s like everything I was trying to do … heavy rock with great melodies."

We Are the Fallen officially debuted on June 22, 2009 with the launch of their official website. Fans could register their email address at the website to receive a free download of their first single, "Bury Me Alive". Only the first 100,000 registrants qualified for the download.The response to the free download overwhelmed their database and the song was made available via a free stream on their MySpace page while they worked to send the emails to those who qualified.

The band originally planned to release two songs for free over the internet every two months and afterward compiling them onto a record with orchestral interludes. They planned to tour theaters across the U.S. rather than clubs or arenas to focus on "performance elements that go beyond music."

These plans changed when it was announced that We Are the Fallen signed a record deal with Universal Republic on October 28, 2009 for release of a full length debut album. The band then released a remastered version of their original single, "Bury Me Alive", on February 2, 2010, to include an orchestral outro extending the song by a full minute. The song was available for purchase exclusively online at digital media outlets. On the same day, the band set up an additional free download for an acoustic version of "Bury Me Alive" at their website. The video for the song premiered on March 25, 2010 on AOL’s Noisecreep website.

We Are the Fallen is currently performing a 28-city concert tour in the U.S. with the Finnish rock band HIM. Their debut concert was held at King’s College in London, England in front of a 200-person crowd on March 23, 2010. Following their tour with HIM, the band will headline their own 14-city concert tour in the U.S. and Europe.

The band’s debut album, Tear the World Down, is scheduled to be released on May 11, 2010 in the U.S. and on May 10, 2010 in the UK.

We've been fans of the contemporary Brit folk duo of Megson for a few years now, first taking note of how Stu and Debbie Hanna's exquisite harmonies and mastery of traditional instruments -- mandolin, penny whistle, etc. -- brought a fresh approach to a genre that frankly can get a little dusty. While they've moved closer to a more classically retro sound over the course of three albums, the Hannas are still able to conjure up a little more modern Damien Rice/Lisa Hannigan-styled acoustic magic now and then. Our all-time fave Megson track, "Fell to the Breeze," is a brisk and buskery little number from their Smoke of Home album -- a song that came to mind when we saw that a new album The Longshot was set for a June 7 release in the U.K.

Fever is the third studio album by Welsh heavy metal band, Bullet for My Valentine. Containing eleven tracks, the album is scheduled to be released on April 26, 2010 in the UK and on April 27, 2010 in the US. The band will be touring the US this spring to support their upcoming album, starting on April 30, 2010. The band will also be headlining the second stage at this year's Download Festival, starting June 2010.
