50 Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America

Perez Hilton beat out Jodie Foster?!

Someone's smoking crack!

When New York did a "Gay Life Now" issue in 2001, only seven of the forty prominent New York gays asked to pose for the cover were willing. Those big shots may have been gay, and they may have been out, but it just wouldn't do for them to be gay and out on the cover of a magazine.

"There was a time when the closet was a necessary safe haven," our pal Maer Roshan, who edited the issue, wrote in an angry 2,000-word essay. "But now, it exists as an anachronistic monument to shame. It's time for our public figures to stop hiding in there — and for journalists to stop helping them."

Six years and a month later, maybe at least that second part has come true. Here's a first glimpse at the cover of Out magazine's "50 Most Powerful Gay Men and Women in America" issue. Those are models holding Jodie Foster and Anderson Cooper masks on the cover. Neither, of course, would appear themselves.

Carmen Electra and Joan Jett to Go Public in Palm Springs?

The annual Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs is a huge event for lesbians from all over the country.

This year it should be quite exciting with Joan Jett and girlfriend Carmen Electra showing up together. The couple will likely go public with their relationship at the event.

A source told Star magazine,“Carmen and Joan are planning on enjoying all the fun the weekend has to offer, and they’ll be making a very clear statement to the world by attending together!”
Carmen will already be in Palm Springs performing with her all-girl burlesque group, the Bombshell Babies.

“Carmen said, ‘I’m going to drop a huge bomb at the Dinah that’s going to surprise a lot of people,”” says another source. “She hasn’t said specifically that she’ll make an announcement about she and Joan being a couple, but it seems like the logical explanation!”

Carmen and Joan met at last year’s Dinah Shore Weekend and have been together since November 2006.

Boy George Says the Kabbalah Religion is Homophobic

"I have investigated it and they are homophobic. I do think it's shocking that somebody who has made so much money out of gay people is now part of an organization which is anti-gay."

Heatherette Show - New York Fashion Week

I always love seeing the pictures from the Heatherette shows.

Never a dull moment!

Designers Richie Rich and Travor Rains always have a wild show in store. Their shows are always colorful, pure eye candy.

Yes, that's Kimora..

As always Amanda Lepore was the star, this time playing Glenda the good witch during the 'Wizard of Oz' theme of the show. Lydia Hearst was Dorothy, (I want that bag!), the Scarecrow (or is that the Tin M
an or both?) looked like Buck Rogers' slave boy...equipped with easy access in the rear.
