Another breakup for John Mayer

John Mayer and Minka Kelly have quietly called it quits after a brief romance. The musician, 30, and the 27-year-old Friday Night Lights actress split over a month ago, but are "still friends," sources say. Despite their split, the two have remained close: Kelly showed her support for Mayer at his December concert in L.A. and accompanied him to the after-party at Parc where they got cozy in a booth together. The two were also spotted days later having breakfast in L.A. and also drinks at The Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood. According to a pal of Kelly's, "Minka told a couple friends that she and John had broken up but she really didn't want to tell anyone." The couple became involved earlier this fall. They were spotted dining together several times in Austin, Texas, in early October and again later that month in California. They also met up with Chris Ivery and Ellen Pompeo at a Knicks game in New York in November. The split, however, may not last for long. When Mayer dated Jessica Simpson, the couple broke up and reunited numerous times before finally calling it quits for good. A rep for Mayer had no comment. Kelly's rep couldn't be reached for comment.

Pam goes forward with divorce

Pamela Anderson had divorce papers personally served to Rick Salomon on Dec. 28. The papers were served two weeks after Anderson first filed for divorce from Salomon, a decision she rescinded just a few hours later with a blog post that they were "working things out." Seen alone on New Year's Eve, Anderson recently blogged on her site: "2007 was an interesting year for me. What's the definition of insanity? This is the year I do everything I wanted to do – my way... I'm going to be proud of every single day – and make sure I do not veer from the path." Anderson, 40, stated in her divorce request that she and Salomon were married from Oct. 6 to Dec. 13. The actress has two sons (Brandon, 11, and Dylan, 9) from her previous marriage with rocker Tommy Lee. Salomon, the father of two daughters from a previous marriage, is best known for producing and starring in a 2003 sex tape with Paris Hilton.

Sean and Robin Wright Penn split

Sean Penn and wife Robin Wright Penn are divorcing, their rep, Mara Buxbaum, confirms. No other details were immediately available. The couple, who've been married 11 years, have two children together, Hopper Jack, 14, and Dylan Frances, 16. Penn, 47, and Wright, 41, began dating in the early '90s and married in 1996. They also have starred together in several films, including 1998's Hurlyburly and 1997's She's So Lovely, directed by Nick Cassavetes. "Marriage ain't easy, but it's great most of the time," Penn told Entertainment Weekly in 1997. "I love Robin. I've always loved her." In the same article, Cassavetes was asked about working with the couple. "The beginning and the end of every day is how Sean and Robin are getting along," he said. "If they have a bad morning, Sean's broken up about it." Penn's most recent film, Into the Wild, which he directed, is drawing awards buzz, with four SAG Award nominations and two Golden Globe nods.

The couple's decision to split in December 2005 was mutual, says a rep. The pair have had a relatively amicable divorce, without bickering over property and finances. Splitsville for Jessica and Cash?

New breakup rumors are swirling around Jessica Alba and her longtime boyfriend, Cash Warren. Anne Heche's ugly divorce battle

The bitter divorce between Anne Heche and Coley Laffoon continues to worsen, with furniture now at the center of the battle. In papers filed in LA Superior Court, Laffoon alleges that Heche took a number of items from the couple's former home while he was away, including the master bed and yoga-room rugs, and that he "discovered that [Heche] had gone into my closet and ripped the buttons off of 19 of my shirts and removed some of my pants." The former videographer has requested that the court order Heche to return the property and prohibit her from removing anything else. Heche denies the claims, insisting the items she took were hers before they were married. "All of the furniture, furnishings, artwork, etc. that was acquired during marriage and paid for with funds earned during the marriage remains," the actress says in court documents.

Diddy's baby mama moves out

Seven months after welcoming twins with Sean "Diddy" Combs, his longtime girlfriend Kim Porter has reportedly moved out of his apartment - for good. "Kim is in Louisiana filming a movie right now, and when it's done she's moving to LA," says an insider. "She is focusing on her career as a model and actress and raising her children. They are the best of friends, but they just can't be together right now." Porter has already bought a Beverly Hills home for her and her four children, 3 of whom call Combs dad. "They had a couple of dinners and hung out - it was never more than that." There are no hard feelings, says the source: "Jen and Paul were friends and remain friends. They will probably go out to dinner again sometime."

Reese and Jake call it quits

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal's brief romance is reportedly over. "They just recently broke up," says a source close to Witherspoon. "It's totally and completely over. Reese was the one who had to do it. She just got out of a divorce and was so concerned with her family, she just didn't have the time for him and he really demanded that. They're still friends. Things are fine, but it was a clean break - [with] no chance of getting back together." Reps for Gyllenhaal and Witherspoon have not commented. The pair first hooked up while doing reshoots for the film Rendition. "Jake went and reintroduced himself to Reese," says an insider. "Things slowly progressed, but it was never something she thought would happen from the start. She just kind of developed this little crush over time."

Jessica and John: dunzo, again

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer are "off" again - and this time maybe for good. "It has been rocky and it had been rocky, and it reached the end of the road," a source close to Mayer told People mag. "It is definitely over - the relationship has ended." On Simpson's side, the story's not so clear cut. "They broke up Sunday night, but who knows what the future will hold," says a source close to Simpson. "This is the twelfth time they've broken up. Their relationship is volatile. Last week they felt better than ever. This week, things are rocky. Who knows what the future will bring?" The couple announced their split last month, but reconciled shortly after. "They tried to make it work. They dated for a year," says the Mayer source, and who added that the pair's recent trip to Cabo was an attempt "to talk things over... Every relationship has its differences, but with Jessica and John those differences were starting to become more and more apparent."

Kate and Owen: dunzo

Cute couple Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson split just before Memorial Day weekend, according to a source who knows the pair. "They're still friends," said the insider. The You, Me and Dupree co-stars quietly began dating after Hudson's marriage to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson ended last August. The reason for the split is not known, but Hudson was reportedly heard complaining to friends at an NYC party recently about her relationship with the Wedding Crashers star. "She said that if he didn't step up and make time for her, then she was over it," a source told Page Six. "A few days after that, she broke up with him over the phone... They've broken up and gotten back together a million times. She's complaining to everyone that she made all these sacrifices and he can't be in a committed relationship." But I am very happy. I will let you know that."

Update on the Jessica Simpson/John Mayer split rumor... It's true! "They have broken up," a source told People mag. "But they have broken up and gotten back together at least ten times before." The pair are still in constant contact, however, emailing and talking to each other many times a day. "They talk to each other at least six times a day," says the source. "I don't know if this breakup is permanent, but for right now they are broken up." As for the reason for the split, a source close to Mayer says, "John did say that he broke up [with Jessica]. He said that it was because he was just over it... He's fine about it, he's not upset - but he's definitely not looking for someone right now." Reps for both stars have declined to comment.

Anne Heche's ex says she's "bizarre and delusional"

Things are getting ugly between Anne Heche and her estranged husband Coley Laffoon. In papers filed in LA Superior Court, Laffoon is seeking at least $33,000 a month in child support as well as primary support of the former couple's 5-year-old son Homer. "Clearly, [Heche's] anger toward me has clouded her ability to think rationally about what is in Homer's best interest," Laffoon says in the documents. "[She] has at times exhibited bizarre and delusional behavior for which she refuses to seek professional help... Due to [her] lack of attention to Homer's needs and poor parenting skills, Homer's emotional stability has been detrimentally affected." Laffoon, who gave up his $6,000-a-year career as a videographer to raise Homer, says Heche earns $81,000 per episode for Men in Trees, and that because the show is filmed in Vancouver, she has "little time available from her busy schedule to spend time with Homer." Laffoon says that during a trip to NYC to appear on the Letterman show, Heche called him to say she "did not know where she was and that she needed help. She sounded confused. I was extremely frightened for her safety," and that when she returned home, she "acted as if nothing ever happened" and "never acknowledged the seriousness of her actions." Since their split in February, Heche has been romantically linked to her Men in Trees co-star James Tupper.
